New opportunities with trail blazing outdoor arts projects in Wales

By 15th June 2021Uncategorised

New trail blazing outdoor arts projects kick start in 2021 out on the streets of Aberystwyth, and in the industrial estates and beaches in South Wales, as Articulture collaborates with others to fire new inspiration, ideas and adventure…

AberGêm

AberGêm is an innovative outdoor arts project that transforms the streets of Aberystwyth into a real- life reality game.

Led by local artists and young adults, it will tell the story of the community through placing live performances, music, visual spectacle and installation in unexpected places.

Running from this year until 2022, it’s a joint initiative between Articulture, Aberystwyth Arts Centre and Boomtown in partnership with Ceredigion County Council and Mind Aberystwyth, and is supported by the Arts Council of Wales.

The Welsh Circus Village

Also this Summer a group of Welsh Circus companies and practitioners, including Articulture, have come together to create a ‘village’ as you’ve never seen before!

Borrowing from the Big Top touring culture we all know and love, The Welsh Circus Village will be an outdoor site complete with Big Tops and space for circus people of all kinds and creeds to set up camp and collaborate.

Living, learning and working together in one space, the village will be the perfect environment to explore, learn, and begin to test new ways of doing things – all whilst celebrating every aspect of the circus.
