Annie Grundy

Annie is a freelance Event Manager with 25 years experience of both organising and creating events – from arts and community festivals through to launches and creative tradeshows, from international projects through to local community ‘happenings’. She is a founder member of Articulture and a passionate believer in creating access to the arts for all. Previous employment includes award-winning International Officer for London Borough of Lewisham, and more recently Festivals and Events Officer for Powys. She currently curates the independent cinema ‘The Magic Lantern’ in Tywyn, Gwynedd.

Julie Ann Heskin

Julie Ann Heskin is a props maker, scenic artist and production manager working for 25 years for companies such as Glyndebourne Festival Opera, The Library Theatre, The Octagon Bolton, Contact and The Royal Exchange, as well as youth theatre and theatre school productions. She met Walk The Plank while working on the closing ceremony of the Commonwealth Games in Manchester in 2002 and then went on to discovered a love for outdoor theatre working on their theatre ship The Fitzcarraldo . Since moving to Wales in 2006 she has continued to make puppets and paint sets for organisations such as Mid Wales Opera and Opera Cymru, as well as running a bespoke upholstery business.

Sarah Morton

Sarah Morton has worked in the events, arts and entertainment industry for over 30 years. This includes as stage manager on the Covent Garden piazza for Alternative Arts in the 80s‚ where she also programmed European street festivals and the expo festivals; administrating Circus UK, a movement that greatly influenced the new circus movement in Britain; and directing a large community arts festival for London Borough of Lewisham for over 20 years, as well as processional work across Britain. Born and now based in Wales, she is a founder member of Articulture, and works on a variety of arts initiatives in the country, including as a current Director of the Powys Arts Forum

Rosie Strang

Rosie Strang is a freelance project manager and producer in the arts, media and environment, developing and managing a diverse range of events and projects over 20 years across the UK, with partners from the Hayward Gallery and Southbank Centre, to Natural Resources Wales and Coed Cadw/Woodland Trust. The common theme – direct engagement with place through arts, education and landscape that grow wide spread community participation and connections. As a performer, she is the founder member of ‘The Laundrettas’ – an award winning collective that toured arts festivals in the UK for 8 years.

Lauren Hussain

Lauren is a producer and project manager working in creative learning and participatory arts. With roots in socially engaged practice, she brings an understanding of community engagement and collaboration with non-arts partners. She co-founded Green Shoes Arts in 2009 in East London establishing community-based projects for young people and vulnerable adults.  Lauren also worked across London as freelance drama practitioner, trainer and evaluator in education and social settings. Since moving to Wales in 2015, Lauren has produced science and dance productions with Powys Dance, provided organisational development support to several companies and been involved in the Lead Creative Schools programme.
