Create in Public Space – free online course and discussion – Spring 2020

What is public space? Why do artists choose to work in these unconventional places? How do they use these spaces around the world? What kinds of legislation and technical characteristics do professionals have to take into account?

Join Articulture to develop your skills and understanding of artistic creation in the public space.

On Monday 30 March our friends at FAI-AR re-opened their free online course Create in Public Space.

Anyone can now access this 4-week ‘MOOC’ (Massive Open Online Course) packed with tools and inspiration to help you understand and play a role in artistic creation in public space.

Learn about different artworks designed for public space, the way they interact with their locations, and the specific features of writing about and engaging audiences in this context.

This course is open to anyone who is interested in creating and learning more about art in public space. Register here now.

There are 4 modules which will each take around 3 hours to complete.
You can do these at your own pace and to your own schedule or choose to join the Articulture team who will be completing the course every Wednesday afternoon.

The Articulture team will also be hosting a lunchtime reflective discussion each week Thursday lunchtime on Zoom. See our schedule below.

Want to study along with us? See our study schedule below and email Rosie Strang – rosie@articulture-wales.co.uk to register interest and receive the Zoom link to join us each week.
