The UK’s key outdoor arts biennial event – ISAN hosts its Critical Mass: the National Outdoor Arts Conference this November in Milton Keynes.

Join the Articulture team as they head to this essential meeting point for everyone involved in Outdoor Arts in the UK and Ireland, from artists, companies, technicians and producers to local authorities, agencies, venues and funding bodies.

Bursaries for ‘Fresh Faces’ 

To encourage new people to attend, ISAN are offering 25 subsidised ‘Fresh Faces’ places for first-time attendees.  To apply for a subsidised place, please click through to their application form –  its a simple process, and you’ll need to have someone available to support your application. Deadline 20 September.

  • We’ll look at why we do what we do, who we do it for and how we can do it better
  • We’ll exchange practical knowledge, experience and news
  • We’ll take stock of recent developments
  • We’ll make plans for the future
  • We’ll provide advice, guidance and case studies for new festivals and emerging artists as well as experienced sector professionals

There will be presentations from inspiring speakers, knowledge sharing, artists’ pitches, the Outdoor Arts marketplace, mentoring and troubleshooting – and an evening dinner party hosted by Festive Road in their exciting cycle and creature-filled creation space.

Working in partnership with Festive RoadThe StablesDestinationMK and with the generous support of Milton Keynes Council, it promises to be two fruitful days of discussions, ideas, networking and planning, whilst the new town of concrete cows celebrates its fiftieth birthday.

Your ticket includes registration, arrival pack, two days of conference packed with speakers, experts, discussion and debate, access to reduced accommodation, transport between MK station, hotels and venues, the marketplace, two lunches at the Stables, one dinner with a drink and entertainment at Festive Road and tea, coffees and snacks throughout.  ISAN have aimed to keep the ticket prices affordable, with substantial discounts for ISAN Members, tickets are now available!
